Developing a new design system for Gigaset that balances the brand's rich heritage and strong recognition with a modern, user-friendly, and future-proof approach for digital UI products and services.
The Solution
Gigaset OS is a global brand and design system spanning all Gigaset OS digital touch-points. Empowering users and offering easy brand recognition, it ensures an outstanding user experience.
A consistent brand experience across all digital touchpoints.
We were determined to make digital and physical experiences accessible to everyone, regardless of disabilities or impairments. Together with Gigaset, we developed an offering that empowers users to create their own, individually tailored content on screen — while offering an easy brand recognition.
Online Guideline.
To summarize and communicate the new design system for its use across the company departments we created an internal online library that also allowed the the direct use of components for development.
Design guidelines and principles allow scalability.
With Gigaset OS, we created consistent and future-proven user interfaces (UI) for all Gigaset products by sharing the same user experience (UX) principles across different platforms. This way, multiple devices such as mobile, desk phone and web applications can easily interact with each other.
Highlights & Capabilities
Some like it dark.
Gigaset has a long tradition with dark user interfaces. The dark theme is an additional mode to the light theme. This improves the usability of the individual product and increases the overall aesthetic appeal and desirability of the product.
Strategic Development
As part of a strategic task-force with the client, we developed the new Gigaset UI design system based on the brand's core DNA making sure it not only ties well into the established brand heritage but also lays the right foundation for future developments.
